Emerging Leaders of Color RFP

Indiana Youth Institute is seeking Request for Proposals (RFPs) from qualified agencies to develop curriculum for the Indiana Youth Worker Well-Being Project’s Emerging Leaders of Color development program.

The Youth Worker Well-Being Project is a collaboration between Indiana Afterschool Network, IARCA Institute for Excellence, Indiana Youth Services Association, Indiana Youth Institute, and Marion County Commission on Youth to improve the lives of Indiana’s youth workers so they can more effectively work with youth.

The leadership development program will identify emerging leaders of color, help them build on their existing leadership skills, and the types of community networks required to lead and grow an effective youth-serving agency. The Youth Worker Well-Being Project will launch Emerging Leaders of Color development cohorts in 2024. Two annual cohorts of 20-25 youth workers will be selected for this project to participate in training sessions that facilitate connections, advance skills, and create a network of lasting support.

The project is looking for an agency to create a multiple-session curriculum for leadership training for the emerging leaders of color cohorts and train Youth Worker Well-Being Project staff and representatives from partner agencies to implement the curriculum. View the full RFP here.

An informational Zoom session will be held Oct. 5 at 12 p.m. ET for clarification of the project overview and needs.
