CAREER CAMPS. A co-ed, in-depth, hands on law enforcement experience directed by Troopers June 19-24 at Vincennes Univ. or July 10-15 at Trine Univ. Each camper will find out what it takes to be a police offer, experience some of the same things that officers do during their career & get to see the other careers & specialties within law enforcement. Participate in physical training, familiarization of police equipment, conduct their own crime scene investigations, hear from defense attorneys, judges & other experts in the criminal justice field & watch police demonstrations. Parents/family are invited to a graduation ceremony Fri. afternoon. INDIANA YOUTH CADET LAW ENFORCEMENT ACADEMY CAMP (IYCLEA). A more structured, mini-academy style camp modeled after the ISP Academy. A first-hand look at the role of a police officer in today’s society. Physical training, familiarization of police equipment, conduct your own crime scene investigations, hear from defense attorneys, judges & other experts in criminal justice & watch police demonstrations. June 19-25 at Anderson Univ. IF YOU CANCEL less than one month from start of camp, or leave the camp early, you will be required to reimburse the Legion.
