Event Description:

BRAND NEW EVENT! Come downtown on Saturday, October 27th for an all-day Halloween festival! 

Halloween Town (New Event!)9am: PUMPKINS IN THE PARK 5K RUN/WALK & 1-MILE FAMILY FUN WALK

This Halloween run/walk is fun for the entire family! T-shirts will be available for 5K runners and walkers, or may be purchased by 1-mile walkers, too. Pre-register before October 17th and save $5! Cost (before October 17th) is $15, after deadline is $20. Cost for 1-Mile Family Fun Walk is $2/person. Registration starts at 8:00am at the Recreation Center and race starts at 9:00am.

11am – 3pm HAY RIDES Courthouse Square

11am – 5pm MUMMY MANOR
Come check out Mummy Manor (if you dare!) at the Johnson County Museum of History from 11am-5pm. Meet some interesting characters and create Halloween crafts at this haunted log cabin. Go to johnsoncountymuseum.orgfor more info!

11am – 6pm FRANKENFESTJohnson County Public Library
Join us for a Frankenstein Read-a-Thon from 10-7pm (or until end of book). Also, from 11am to 6pm, Frankenstein-themed activities for all ages will be available, including hands-on mad science at Dr. Frankenstein’s Lab, games, crafts, photo opportunities, and more! Thank you Indiana Humanities for sponsoring this event!

3pm – 5pm HALLOWEEN CARNIVAL AT THE BOO’S AND GHOULS CLUB Boys and Girls Club of Franklin
This event, hosted by the Boys and Girls Club of Franklin, includes carnival games, face painting, crafts and refreshments! Parents must be in attendance with their child, and costumes are encouraged but not required. Thank you Adult and Child Health for sponsoring this event!

4pm – 5pm SILLY SAFARI Courthouse Square

4pm – 6pm TRICK-THE-TOWN Trick-or-Treating at Downtown Businesses

5:30pm – 7pm: TRICK YOUR TRUNK

Come downtown Franklin for some fun and safe trick-or-treating. Cars will be set up on N. Main Street by the Artcraft Theatre. Kids will be able to collect treats from decorated trunks and trucks. If you are interested in decorating a trunk and passing out candy, please contact Holly at (317) 346-1198 to reserve a spot. Reservations are free but you must turn in this registration form, and you must provide your own decorations and candy at the event. Prizes will be awarded for the best “tricked” trunks.
