Participants will explore the impact of systemic racism, discrimination, and social inequalities on the mental health of Black individuals, as well as the resilience and strengths inherent in Black communities. The training will also delve into the stigma surrounding mental health within these communities and the barriers to accessing appropriate care.
Additionally, the training will provide practical tools for engaging community resources and support networks, such as peer support groups, and advocacy organizations. Participants will leave with a deeper understanding of how to advocate for systemic change and promote mental health equity.
