Urban Acres Summer Employment Program: 1st-time job & workforce development opportunities to teens. The teens who worked on the farm were part of the TeenWorks program, TeenWorks alumni, or part of Groundwork Indy’s youth employment program. IUA will continue to employ teens in small workgroups of about four per site, for a total of 12 youth. Working outdoors at the farm is rewarding but rigorous. Younger teens & 1st-time job holders need extra support, encouragement & mentorship. Work a min.of 20 hrs with the opportunity to work more if desired. They can rotate to all the farm sites & experience different aspects of the farm operations.
