Mayor’s Youth Leadership Council

Made up of 25 youth who provide advice to the Mayor & city officials on the important issues facing teens in our community. Teens chosen to participate receive leadership & civic involvement training which help them fulfill this role & prepare them for further community leadership. They develop & implement projects with the goal of addressing & improving the lives of teens. Council meets Sat. monthly Aug-May w/task force meetings scheduled thruout the month. Members are offered the chance to serve in other community leadership capacities. Handicap accessible. Applications begin in April.
