Proudly rooted in the Civil Rights Movement & the 1964 Mississippi Freedom Summer Project, the 6 wk. CDF Freedom Schools program supports children & families around 5 essential components: high quality academic enrichment; parent & family involvement; civic engagement & social action; intergenerational leadership development; nutrition, health & mental health supports. Helps children fall in love with reading, increase their self-esteem & generate more positive attitudes toward learning.
