The Christkindl Village is a celebration of the holiday with a traditional Christmas Market, presented by St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. This event, that attracts thousands, is in its fifth year and is a lasting tradition for the people of Indianapolis and visitors to the city. The festival includes a canopy of lights, live animal Nativity, kids’ and teen activities, photos with St. Nick, German foods, beer and wine garden, musical performances including caroling and the sights and the sounds and smells of Christmas. The Christmas Market provides gifts as well as arts and crafts for patrons to purchase. The festival will take place in the St. John parking lot (126 W. Georgia St.) and along the west block of Georgia Street. All are welcome. Admission to the festival is free.
