Managing Stress & Frustration Workshop
July 23 @ 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm
|$20
This is a two-hour workshop in which we learn through lecture during the first half and then experientially for the second half. Stress and frustration are defensive responses that are usually covering up a vulnerable emotion of hurt or lack of control underneath. As we learn how to locate and feel these underlying emotions in our bodies, we can release them. The stress and frustration then have nothing left to defend and usually melt away. This can be reinforced through practice of specific emotional self-regulation skills. We will also learn how to question beliefs that are fueling our stress and address them through inquiry. As we learn how to emotionally heal and self-regulate ourselves, we find ourselves experiencing a better quality of life and can also better show up for our children in teaching them the same skills.
