Pack the Parks, our signature Indy Parks event, is on Saturday, June 30. I am thrilled to offer another annual day of free pool and park admission (notably Eagle Creek Park and Garfield Conservatory), as well as dozens of special events and activities at our parks.
Our generous sponsor, MHS, will be presenting Yoga on the Beach at Eagle Creek Park and will be hosting tables at various parks throughout the day. We have a packed (pun intended) schedule, including Councillor Zach Adamson’s Backpack Giveaway at Frederick Douglass Park, a bike ride at IMPD’s Bike Track at Washington Park, performances from the Indianapolis Shakespeare Company, demonstrations by Nine13 Sports, environmental excursions, outdoor concerts, art classes, fitness offerings and more.
Pools will be open from 12 – 5 p.m. and will host “birthday parties” celebrating the history of the facility. Additionally, each of our Family Centers will feature a special theme party and will have activities and prize giveaways.
I am incredibly proud to share with you some of the best of our programs and partnerships, and to offer the opportunity for residents to explore an unfamiliar park, try a new class, or simply enjoy a free day by the pool. I hope that you will be able to join us for one (or several) of these events.
