INDIANA MENTOR NETWORK PRESENTS: THE CITYWIDE YOUTH SAFE
SUMMER KICK-OFF & COOK-OUT
THIS FUN, FAMILY FRIENDLY EVENT TAKES PLACE SATURDAY, MAY
26th 10AM – 4PM AT ARLINGTON HIGH SCHOOL
(April 16, 2018 – Indianapolis) Indianapolis has seen its share of gun violence
and crime affecting many of our communities, particularly our youth. Multiple
agencies have come together in a time of need to bring safety and family fun
back to the city. What started as a means of mentorship via The Male Mentor
Conference, led to the collaboration of agencies, and a community partnership
was formed as the Indiana Mentor Network.
Through the collective efforts of various local organizations, programs, and
activities, the Indiana Mentor Network will strive to provide a safe, positive, and
uplifting summer environment for all the youth and families served via multiple
events geared towards the Indianapolis communities.
The Citywide Youth Safe Summer Kick-Off & Cook-Out will take place Saturday,
May 26th at Arlington High School located at 4825 N. Arlington Ave in
Indianapolis. This fun-filled event will have free food, prizes and giveaways,
activities, contests, and a basketball tournament. The purpose of the event is to
empower youth and families to have a fun and safe summer!
