Community Connections

Throughout MCCOY’s history, we’ve had the privilege of working with a variety of community organizations and participating in a handful of committees for both short- and long-term initiatives, projects and programs through central Indiana.

Currently we are proud to be involved with the following groups as a part of the Early Intervention & Prevention Initiative:

Children’s Policy and Law Initiative of Indiana
CPLI advocates for systemic changes in laws and governmental responses so that they promote healthy outcomes and ensure that the treatment of children is just and age-appropriate.
MCCOY’s Role: Community Partner

Indiana Disproportionality Committee
IDC was developed in 2004 and continues to work towards eliminating disproportionality for Indiana youth within education, juvenile justice, health, mental health and child welfare.
MCCOY’s Role: Child Welfare Partner

Juvenile Detention Alternatives Initiative
JDAI is a reform effort of the Marion County Juvenile Court funded by the Annie E. Casey Foundation and focused on developing better ways to work with youth and families that enter the juvenile justice system.
MCCOY’s role: Chair of Disproportionate Minority Contact and Confinement Committee; Member of JDAI Collaborative; Member of Steering Committee

Marion County System of Care Collaborative
