Throughout MCCOY’s history, we’ve had the privilege of working with a variety of community organizations and participating in a handful of committees for both short- and long-term initiatives, projects and programs through central Indiana.
Currently we are proud to be involved with the following groups as a part of the Early Intervention & Prevention Initiative:
Children’s Policy and Law Initiative of Indiana
CPLI advocates for systemic changes in laws and governmental responses so that they promote healthy outcomes and ensure that the treatment of children is just and age-appropriate.
MCCOY’s Role: Community Partner
Indiana Disproportionality Committee
IDC was developed in 2004 and continues to work towards eliminating disproportionality for Indiana youth within education, juvenile justice, health, mental health and child welfare.

Juvenile Detention Alternatives Initiative
JDAI is a reform effort of the Marion County Juvenile Court funded by the Annie E. Casey Foundation and focused on developing better ways to work with youth and families that enter the juvenile justice system.
MCCOY’s role: Chair of Disproportionate Minority Contact and Confinement Committee; Member of JDAI Collaborative; Member of Steering Committee
Marion County System of Care Collaborative
MCSOCC is a community collaboration to ensure strength-based, community-centered services to support and empower all youth and families in Marion County and to advance cross system support for its community partners.
MCCOY’s Role: Community Partner
Marion County Youth Violence Prevention Coalition
YVPC convenes, provides leadership and empowers community stakeholders to create opportunities that build more peaceful homes, schools, and neighborhoods.

Prevent Child Abuse Marion County Council
Prevent Child Abuse Marion County is the local council for Prevent Child Abuse Indiana. Prevention Councils are made up of volunteers from all walks of life that bring the message of primary prevention to their communities. This grassroots strategy has proven to be powerfully effective in keeping kids safe.
