The central goal of youth development approach is to provide young people with the chance to develop all the skills necessary for healthy, engaged, and productive adulthood.
To foster a successful community, we must invest in all young people, with the ultimate goal of preparing them for success both in their youth and in their adult lives. As Karen Pittman, a leader in the youth development field, often says, “Being problem-free is not the same as being fully prepared.”
