Youth Mental Health First Aid (YMHFA) training is for anyone who interacts with youth to learn the signs & symptoms they might be experiencing a behavioral or mental health challenge.
Each participant receives a manual, 8 hours for professional development, and 3 year certification.
This training meets the requirement of the House Enrolled Act 1430 pertaining to school staff being trained in suicide awareness once every 3 years. YMHFA covers several diagnoses such as bipolar and depression as well as suicide awareness and prevention.
We are looking for teachers, parents, pastors, coaches, bus drivers, foster parents, community volunteers to take advantage of this free of charge training.
