November 21, 2017 10:30-11:30am EST
You’ve probably already discovered how each person prefers to be communicated with in a slightly different way. But do you know how to adapt to them in specific ways? There are skills you can learn to manage these conversations and relationships with more adaptability and achieve better results together. You’ll learn 4 questions you ask during the course of any conversation to discover how they handle conflict, decision making, getting work done, stress, etc.
Session 4: Time management and productivity: How to find more hours and more focus in the day
December 12, 2017 10:30-11:30am EST
Explore how rethinking productivity paradoxically leaves you more time to strengthen relationships and more likely to reach your goals. Time management and efficiency often seem impossible with a nonprofit workload — and seem to take us away from the very people we want to serve. Instead of running from meeting to meeting or allowing every fire to control your day, there are some simple ways to prioritize your work. Enabling you to accomplish the truly important work on time and still connect with your colleagues and clients in meaningful ways.
PREVIOUSLY RECORDED SESSIONS
Session 1: Leadership: You are a leader. Yes, you! Discover and create your leadership style.
Those who exercise leadership take responsibility for what they can, avoid blame and burnout, plan effectively, and take action, regardless of title. This webinar will teach participants 5 exemplary practices of leadership and allow them time to craft their own leadership manifesto to guide how they interact with their colleagues and clients every day.
Session 2: Goal setting: How to set goals and actually make them happen!
Writing down goals is an easier part of the process. The harder part is taking focused action and sustaining momentum. Participants will be asked to bring their organization’s existing strategic plan or other long-range plan for their department. Using a structured and unique goal-setting process, they will identify what success is for them personally in their role. We’ll also discuss how to jumpstart a failed plan.
