2017 Public Policy Alerts
Bias crimes: A group of organizations, including MCCOY, continues to encourage lawmakers to take bias crimes, and possible laws that might reduce them, more seriously. The original measure recently stalled in the state Senate, but the group hopes efforts will be renewed in the House of Representatives in the second half of the legislative session. Concerned citizens can contact their representatives regarding this matter at www.iga.in.gov.
2016 Legislative Session
MCCOY was actively engaged in the 2016 legislative session and advocated on the following bills:
